This year-round venue has always been a hub of life in Savannah - so there is no surprise that it is one of the most popular wedding venues in town. This stunning location is green all year long, giving couples their dream outdoor wedding. With a backdrop of oaks draped in Spanish moss, the 30-acre park is the picture-perfect venue to say “I do”. This Savannah wedding venue can be as large or intimate as you’d like, as the park will rope off your selected area. Forsyth Park is just a stone’s throw from downtown Savannah, so you can get all the best accommodations and food nearby, blending Southern charm with your big-day celebrations.

Nestled in downtown Savannah, The Clyde Venue offers a distinctly unique wedding experience for couples who are looking for something memorable. The intimate indoor space exudes sophistication, setting the perfect tone for celebration. The Clyde Venue features a small outdoor section, which provides an ideal cocktail hour venue. While I love this venue and always enjoy visiting, it is worth noting that the venue does not have a designated area for the bride and groom to get ready, and the lighting is not optimal for photography. But, these drawbacks are minor for couples who find The Clyde Venue to be the perfect inner-city fit.

3. The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort and Spa

If you’re looking for a waterfront wedding venue in Savannah, the Westin Harbor Golf Resort and Spa truly has it all. The venue offers breathtaking views of the riverfront historic district, which is a STUNNING backdrop for weddings (take it from me, it’s incredible). With multiple ceremony locations overlooking the river, you can exchange vows in downtown Savannah’s beauty, without the noise of the city. This year-round, all-inclusive venue boasts many event spaces, including the Grand Ballroom accommodating up to 800 guests, the Harbor Ballroom hosting 150, the Riverscape Room accommodating 100, and the Harbor Lawn catering to 300 guests. On top of that variety, the inclusion of catering makes this wedding venue a low-stress option.

The venue has large north-facing windows, making the lighting incredible for photos (a photographer’s dream). This intimate Savannah wedding venue also has a private entrance, a well-stocked bar, and the convenience of on-site catering, so you don’t have to stress the details on your big day.

Last, but not least, on my list of downtown Savannah wedding venues is the Mansion at Forsyth, now known as Hotel Bardo Savannah. This venue emanates luxury throughout its unique and intimate space, ideal for elopements or small weddings. Right across from the iconic Forsyth Park (check the top of my list!), the Mansion has picturesque backdrops that can capture your big day. The venue has historic charm and a sophisticated atmosphere for the couple that wants somewhere enchanting and unique. As a plus, this location does offer catering, making sure every detail of the day is covered.

While the cathedral does not provide on-site catering, the architecture of this venue will keep your guest’s jaws busy dropping instead of chewing. It is important to note that non-members can only get married there if they have a connection to the church, following its strict rules, including a no-flash photography policy. Despite the regulations, staff members at the Cathedral have been nothing but kind in my experience, and the weddings I’ve shot here have always been truly special.

This stunning outdoor wedding venue outside of Savannah, Georgia is meant for the bride who wants a rustic outdoor wedding with natural beauty and country charm. Mossy Oak Farm has two wedding venues to choose from a rustic barn with horses and natural beauty or an 1800s cabin sitting waterside with a gorgeous dock. Both spots have ample space for a ceremony and on-site catered reception. An hour out of Savannah, the farm venue offers up to 200 guests the opportunity to get out into Georgia’s historic countryside.
